BSO IJgenweis

BSO IJgenweis Bethel is located on the ground floor of the Bethel primary school at Lindengaarde 17A in Waddinxveen. We provide both before- and after-school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 13 who attend the Christian Bethel school. Our space opens directly onto the playground and has its own outside door, allowing children to join us safely and quickly after school. Our Christian pedagogical staff welcome the children every afternoon with a warm greeting. We start each session with a short Bible reading and a song of thanks. Children can then choose from a varied programme: outdoor play on the playground or in the nature garden, crafts, construction games, board games, reading in the quiet corner, or taking part in a sports activity. We work with themes that follow the seasons and Christian holidays. Every week there is room for creative expression and relaxation. For the youngest groups (years 1-2) we collect the children from their classroom and bring them to the BSO room. Older children may come independently through the internal door. During school holidays and study days we are open all day. We then organise extra outings to the playground, the woods or the swimming pool, always in small groups with sufficient supervision. Parents appreciate the close cooperation with the school: short lines of communication, daily hand-over and a consistent approach to upbringing. We believe it is important that every child feels safe, seen and loved, so that parents can work with peace of mind.
