BSO Hoi Pippeloi Petersenstraat

Welcome to BSO Hoi Pippeloi Petersenstraat, located at Ds. Petersenstraat 3 in Veendam. We are an after-school care facility open every morning and afternoon for up to 200 children aged 4 to 12. Our location works closely with nearby schools; we pick up the children after school using our own buses, cargo bikes and even a horse-drawn tram on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. When the children arrive, we start the afternoon together at the table. On Wednesdays and Fridays we serve a bread meal, on the other days a drink and snack. Afterwards, the children choose what they want to do: play outside in our spacious garden, do crafts, free play or use our gym and studio on Agaatlaan. Here they can do experiments, take part in music or gym activities and get creative. During school holidays our holiday BSO is open all day. We then offer an exciting programme with outings, crafts, sports and games, and we make something tasty together to enjoy. We deliberately use all the facilities we have in-house, so that children can go on a voyage of discovery to find their interests. Play is central and contributes to their cognitive, social, motor and emotional development. Our pedagogical staff provide a safe and familiar climate: ‘A place where children want to be.’ We offer before-school care from 7:00 to 8:00 and then take the children to school. After school we pick them up again and bring them to the agreed location. In this way we combine care, relaxation and development in a place that really suits both children and parents.
