BSO Hoera Egchel

BSO Hoera Egchel is located on the ground floor of primary school De Kemp at Kempstraat 36 in the heart of Egchel. We provide after-school care for up to 33 children aged 4 to 13. Our spacious, bright group room opens directly onto a secure outdoor area where children can run, play football or simply relax in the chill corner after school. We start the day early with a calm before-school service so children can begin their day in a relaxed way. After school our qualified staff pick up the children from De Kemp and, if needed, from other nearby schools. We work with horizontal grouping, bringing children together in age-based groups. During holidays and teacher training days we switch to a vertical set-up so that siblings and friends of different ages can play together. Every holiday we put together a varied programme packed with sports, games, creative workshops and fun excursions. Think of a visit to the Fairy-tale Park, crafting with natural materials or a sports clinic. During regular school weeks we also offer themed activities, letting children choose what they want to join. We believe it is important that children feel free to discover who they are and what energises them. In between we provide a healthy lunch or snack, taking any allergies or dietary requirements into account. Parents receive photos and messages about their child’s experiences through our parent app. Together with parents, the school and other partners in the village we create a warm, familiar environment in which every child can develop at their own pace.
