BSO het Korfje, location Veessen is a small-scale after-school care facility for children aged 4 to 12. We are located at Kloosterakkers 10 in Veessen, right next to primary school De IJsselvallei, with whom we cooperate closely. The space accommodates up to 22 children and is set up with different play corners. Children can build, craft, play games or simply read here. We work in one horizontal group: all children are together, so younger and older children learn from each other and can help one another. After school, everyone first enjoys a snack and a drink together. Then there is room for free choice: those who want can join a creative activity, those who prefer to play outside can visit the animals on the adjacent farm or use the outdoor playground. Our pedagogical staff are ready to guide homework, mediate quarrels or simply join in the play. We find it important that every child feels safe and seen. Therefore, we use clear agreements and a warm, homely atmosphere. Parents can always approach us; we work together openly and transparently.
