BSO Het Buitenhuis

BSO Het Buitenhuis is a small-scale after-school care facility located in Sint Maartensbrug, situated within primary school De Brug at Maarten Breetstraat 1B. We provide care for up to 20 children aged 4 to 12. Being located within the school creates a familiar environment for the children and allows for close collaboration with the teaching staff. Our after-school care is open four days a week; we are closed on Wednesdays. Our before-school care (VSO) operates from 7:30 to 8:30 AM. Children can enjoy breakfast and engage in activities such as building, crafting, or playing games. Our after-school care (NSO) runs from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Children independently make their way from school to our facility. For the youngest children, we escort them to their classroom in the morning and pick them up after school. We share the same space as the toddler group Pippeloentje, contributing to a homely and familiar atmosphere. We believe in giving children the freedom to choose their activities. After school, children often want to share their stories, play with friends, or simply relax. We provide both structure and space for relaxation and fun. Whenever possible, we venture outdoors. We love exploring nature and going on adventures together. We listen carefully to the children and take their initiatives seriously, allowing them to influence the activity program. This enhances engagement and creates a positive atmosphere. We also provide care during school holidays and study days, typically being open three days per holiday week. BSO Het Buitenhuis is part of Kappio Kinderopvang and plays an important social role within the Sint Maartensbrug community. Many local residents are involved and spontaneously contribute materials for crafts and activities, which we greatly appreciate.
