BSO Happy 2

BSO Happy 2 is a small-scale after-school care facility run by De Dwergjes, located at Antoniusstraat 2 in Standdaarbuiten. We are only a stone’s throw from primary school Aventurijn and welcome up to eight children aged 4 to 13. Our approach is simple and child-centred. As soon as the children arrive from school, fruit and a drink are waiting for them. After this quiet moment the children decide for themselves what they want to do: join the activity the pedagogical worker has prepared or come up with their own plan. We believe after-school care should be real free time, where every child feels safe and relaxed. We have a natural outdoor play area where children can play football, climb and romp around. There is room for pavement chalk, outdoor games or simply running off energy. Whenever the weather allows, we are outside every day. The group is staffed by permanent pedagogical workers. We find this important: it allows them to get to know each child and the parents well, creating a bond of trust. Open communication with parents is a high priority for us. Our care hours are flexible. We offer before-school care from 07:00 to 08:30. After-school care is available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 14:30 to 18:00 and on Wednesday from 12:30 to 18:00. Children who are off school on Friday are welcome for the entire day. Earlier or later care is always negotiable. During school holidays and study days we are open all day and organise larger, varied activities that match the children’s interests. You pay per 15 minutes of care and can choose regular care with or without holiday cover, or flexible care. This way we tailor our service exactly to what your family needs.
