BSO Fascinatio

Welcome to BSO Fascinatio, the sporty after-school care centre located in the Health Building at Fascinatio Boulevard 1162, Capelle aan den IJssel. Since 16 August 2010 we have offered a warm second home for children aged 4 to 13 when the school day is over. We are an independent partnership (VOF) running two locations in the same building (Fascinatio Boulevard 1152 & 1162) with a maximum capacity of 43 children. Our BSO provides a complete package: before-school care (VSO) for primary schools in the Fascinatio district, after-school care and care on pre-announced school-free and study days – always provided these fall on a regular BSO day. Sport and movement are our trademark. We have two dedicated sports halls where children can join judo, ball sports, dance, boxing, sport & play, boot-camp and many other activities after school. Participation is never compulsory; if a child prefers to craft, play games or simply relax, our cosy living-room areas offer a doll corner, chill corner, creative materials and plenty of space to unwind. Structure and calm are key. Every day starts with a shared fruit and drink moment, after which children choose between an organised activity, free play or outdoor play when the weather is nice. Each of our permanent pedagogical staff members is mentor to a small group of children from their base group. They are the familiar, trusted contact for both child and parent. A personal hand-over takes place every afternoon, during which we tell parents how the day went, who their child played with and which sports or activities were on offer. During school holidays we run a full programme packed with creative workshops, sporty clinics, exciting outings and fun games, always tailored to the age and interests of the children. We actively involve children in decision-making; through regular polls and our parent committee they help decide on themes, rules and activities. Healthy food and a safe environment are central to our approach. We provide fruit and drinks, promote a healthy lifestyle and follow a clear pedagogical policy that values rest, respect and room for development. Our location has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 22 November 2012 (LRK 494146175) and is inspected by GGD Rotterdam-Rijnmond. Would you like to meet us?
