BSO Emma

BSO Emma is located in the heart of Kindcentrum Emma at Hilleniussingel 23 in Rotterdam-Hillegersberg. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 who attend Emmaschool. In our main building we operate three BSO groups: two groups for children aged 4 to 7 and one 7+ group for older children. The youngest children play and learn under the guidance of Ashley, Romée, Nermin, Rick, Jayliah and Bjorn. Anfernee and Kevin lead the 7+ group. In our annex at Adriaen van der Doeslaan 15, an additional 7+ group is supervised by Sandy and Robin in a cozy library filled with books, creative and educational activities. We believe in learning through play, discovery and developing social skills. Our activities focus on technology and creativity: children can build, craft, design and experiment with various materials and techniques. From technical constructions to artistic projects and discovering digital skills – we encourage children to use their imagination and discover new talents. BSO Emma is open five days a week, except for the week between Christmas and New Year. When school is closed, for example during study days or holidays, care is still provided for children with a 52-week contract. We work closely with Stichting Opwijs, which shapes our pedagogical policy and safety & health policy. Parents stay informed through the Social Schools app and our weekly newsletter.
