BSO De Zuidwester

BSO De Zuidwester is located at Harkulo 31 in Rotterdam-Charlois, right inside primary school Het Epos. Since 1 October 2024 we provide after-school care in partnership with Het Epos and KindeRdam, exclusively for pupils of this school. The core values of Het Epos – curiosity, perseverance, growth and happiness – are also the pillars on which we build our programme, making the transition from school day to after-school care smooth and familiar for every child. Our pedagogical staff first listen to what the children themselves enjoy and then actively involve them in designing the activity programme. We offer plenty of room for movement, sport and play. In addition, we regularly organise workshops on or off the premises and take trips to the nearby park and playgrounds. The school provides a gym, a technology classroom, a media library and a specially designed green playground with water and sand features where children love to play. During school holidays there is never a dull moment. In the summer we run BSO Holiday Land: a fantastic themed programme packed with challenging activities. Other holiday periods also feature varied and exciting activity schedules. During holidays we combine our groups with BSO De Kantine and care takes place at De Kantine’s premises. Parental involvement is important to us. We regularly invite parents to join in children’s activities and keep them informed through the ‘together with parents’ section on our website. Together we create a safe and stimulating environment where every child can be themselves, discover talents and build friendships.
