BSO De Vuurvogel

BSO De Vuurvogel is a warm and homely after-school care facility based on Anthroposophical principles, located in the building of Muziekvereniging Aurora at De Woerd 3a in Driebergen-Rijsenburg. We provide care for children aged 4 to 12, where cosiness, trust, and joyful play are central. Our location is an extension of the home environment, with furnishings and toys made from natural materials that stimulate and inspire children's imagination. We work with three age groups, ensuring that the activity program perfectly matches the world of experience of each child. Every month, we present a new activity program where children can voluntarily participate in activities such as baking, cooking, crafts, felting, outdoor games, and even violin lessons. Our themes follow the seasons, allowing children to naturally stay connected to the rhythm of the year. The rhythmic flow of the day, week, and year aligns as much as possible with school, providing children with a familiar structure. We offer space for the individuality of each child and create an environment where they feel safe and secure. As part of the broad Vuurvogelschool, the Free School in Driebergen, we generally care for children from this school, creating a strong connection with the school community. Our pedagogical staff are ready to guide the children in their free time, where play and relaxation go hand in hand with small-scale, meaningful activities. We believe in the power of simplicity and naturalness, both in our materials and in our approach to the child.
