BSO+ De Sterren

BSO+ De Sterren is a small-scale after-school care centre in northern Arnhem, located in community centre “De Nieuwe Hommel” at De Wiltstraat 6. We welcome children aged 4 to 12 from both mainstream and special primary education. Every day we go outdoors to play and explore; nature experience is at the heart of our programme. Our group never exceeds 12 children and we maintain at least one pedagogical professional for every six children. The group is vertically structured, so siblings can stay together. We are open six days a week: after school from Monday to Friday and on Saturdays. We also offer small-scale overnight stays during weekends with familiar staff. In addition, we provide ambulatory support for children who need extra guidance to be able to participate fully in the group in the long term. This individual support can take place at the after-school care, at home or at school and is fully tailored to the needs of the child and parents. Funding is available through childcare allowance, care in kind (ZIN) from the municipality or a personal budget (PGB).
