BSO de Steiger

Welcome to BSO de Steiger, located on the ground floor of Kindcentrum De Steiger at Merwedelaan 15 in Terneuzen. Our after-school care is part of Stichting Kinderopvang Zeeuws-Vlaanderen and provides care for children aged 4 to 12, both before and after school hours. As soon as the school bell rings, our pedagogical staff are ready at the group table to welcome the children. We always start with a shared moment: enjoying fresh fruit together and chatting about the school day. Afterwards, children can choose from a wide range of activities. We offer arts and crafts, drawing, building, games, outdoor play and sports activities. There is also space to quietly read a book or relax on the couch. Our space is furnished in a homely and inviting way, with different corners where children can be active or relax. Our pedagogical staff believe in freedom of choice: children decide for themselves what they want to do and are never forced into anything. We do work thematically, so activities connect with the children's world of experience. We regularly use the nature around our building to play and discover outdoors. In addition to after-school care, we are also open on study days and during school holidays. During holidays we work with a fixed daily program and special holiday themes, with joint breaks in the morning and afternoon and lunch together. We also provide before-school care: from 7:30 AM (or 6:30 AM with extended care) you can bring your child, and we ensure they are in class on time. BSO de Steiger is available for regular care, but you can also contact us for incidental care. We are happy to discuss what works for your family. Our standard care runs until 6:00 PM, with the possibility of extension until 6:30 PM. Together we ensure a pleasant, educational and relaxed time after school.
