BSO De Qubus

BSO De Qubus is located in Integral Child Centre (IKC) de Poel at Langeraarseweg 86 in Ter Aar. We share the building with primary school Aeresteijn and use a flexible classroom that is entirely ours after school hours. In addition, our children have access to the library, the playroom and the sports fields of sports school Altior, right next to the school. This gives us plenty of space to move, play and relax. Our after-school care has room for up to 34 children per day. We work with a fixed age division: Monday to Thursday we welcome children from 7 years old, while Friday is specially reserved for 4- to 7-year-olds. This set-up creates recognisability and allows us to tailor activities exactly to the children’s world of experience. We believe it is important that children can choose for themselves what they want to do after school. Our pedagogical staff therefore offer both structured activities and free play opportunities. Think of crafting in the studio, cooking together in the kitchen, building huts in the garden or a game of football on the field. During holiday weeks we work around a fixed theme and organise workshops that challenge children to discover new things. Safety and trust are our top priorities. Parents register their child via a secure entrance and can easily see what their son or daughter has experienced via our Parent App. We pick up children from primary school Aeresteijn and take them back to class in the morning. For children from other schools, we look at pick-up and drop-off options in consultation. In short: BSO De Qubus is a homely place where children love to go, where parents can register without worry and where we ensure a pleasant end to the school day together.
