About this care

AI
BSO De Kleine Wereld is located inside the community school of Westerhaar, at Oranjestraat 2a in Westerhaar-Vriezenveensewijk. We share the building with two primary schools, so children can walk straight from their classroom to a familiar place where they feel at home. For us, after-school care is real free time. We notice that many children already have their own ideas about what they want to do: some love crafting, others simply need to unwind after a busy school day. We therefore offer a wide range of activities and plenty of room for personal input. Our outdoor playground is designed according to the ‘natural outdoor play’ vision. Children can build sandcastles, cycle, run or just explore. We also have a vegetable garden and access to the school playground. Sports and games are central to our approach. We believe that while moving, children develop essential skills: dealing with setbacks, perseverance, taking initiative and working together. Our activities are carefully designed to stimulate both motor and social-emotional development. During school holidays we run a cheerful holiday programme with themes, creative projects and fun excursions. We go outside every day, because outdoor play makes children strong and happy. Our pedagogical staff are ready to play along, guide and inspire. Together with the children we make every afternoon special.
