BSO de Kern

BSO De Kern is located inside CBS De Kern primary school at Dr. B. Brongersstraat 18 in Veendam. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. Our setting makes full use of the school’s spacious green outdoor area and large playground, where children can play freely and unwind after school. Our Kids First staff work closely with the CBS De Kern team. We see ourselves as colleagues and join forces to give every child a safe and enjoyable experience. Because the BSO is housed in the school building, the transition from lessons to after-school care is seamless. We offer care before and after school hours. Morning sessions take place in the school building, and after-school sessions do as well. During the school day all pupils stay on site for a short lunch break; midday supervision is provided by the school’s own team. Our location is closed on school-free days and during holidays, so parents need to arrange alternative care at those times. Our aim is to give children a place where they feel at home, can relax after the school day and enjoy playing together with peers.
