BSO de Kameleon

BSO de Kameleon is conveniently located in the centre of Heemskerk, directly opposite the Laurentius Church and inside the neighbourhood centre Het Spectrum. We provide out-of-school care for 48 children aged 4 to 12. Our location is easy to reach and surrounded by schools, parks and a petting zoo. We pick children up every weekday from Anne Frank School, Zevenhoeven Primary School and OBS De Rinket. If your child attends another school, please contact us and we will explore the possibilities together. The moment school ends, relaxation and adventure begin. Our young, sporty and creative staff – ranging from twenty-somethings to fifty-somethings – are ready with a varied programme. Each day children decide what inspires them: swimming, ice-skating, survival outings or scouting activities. Close to home we visit the Duintuin gardens, playgrounds and, of course, our own vegetable garden where we grow herbs and vegetables. When the weather is poor we gratefully use the large hall of Het Spectrum; there is always room for dance, music or a creative workshop. Our goal is simple: every child should walk in with pleasure and leave with even more pleasure – and plenty of stories. We believe in outdoor play, personal initiative and discovering together. We make full use of both our indoor and outdoor spaces: from building huts to sports matches, from painting to singing around the campfire. Parents can use our before-school care from 07:30 to 08:45 and after-school care on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 14:15 to 18:30 and on Wednesday and Friday from 12:00 to 18:30. Our doors are open to every child who wants to recharge, play and grow after school.
