BSO de Havenrakkers

BSO de Havenrakkers is located in the Brede school De Havenrakkers at Nieuwland 32 in Broek in Waterland. We are part of Stichting Kinderopvang Waterland (SKW) and provide after-school care for up to 60 children aged 4 to 12. Our location works closely with primary school De Havenrakkers, allowing children to move safely from their classroom to the BSO areas inside and around the school building. Whenever possible we divide children into age groups: one qualified pedagogical staff member for every 11 children aged 4–7 and one for every 13 children aged 7–12. After school the children are offered fruit and a drink, then choose which activity they would like to join. Activities range from arts & crafts and performing short plays to outdoor play, gaming, or quietly reading a book. We regularly enrich the daily programme with clinics, theatre, sports and various workshops. On Wednesdays, when De Havenrakkers finishes at 12:00, we provide a bread meal. During school holidays we remain open and organise extra excursions and themed days. Parents book holiday care at least three weeks in advance through the Konnect parent app, which we also use for all daily communication. Our qualified pedagogical staff create a safe, challenging and welcoming environment where every child can be themselves and discover new things. Together with parents we ensure that the care meets the needs of both child and family.
