BSO De Groeiplaneet

BSO De Groeiplaneet is the after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 who attend De Groeiplaneet primary school at Populierenlaan 1a in Krimpen aan den IJssel. We are part of KindeRdam, the childcare organisation that brings everything together under one roof. Because we are literally located in the same building as the school, children can simply walk through to a familiar place after the last lesson, where they are welcomed by our dedicated, caring pedagogical staff. We work with three age-based groups: one for 4-6 year olds, one for 6-8 year olds and an 8+ group. This horizontal grouping ensures that every activity matches the world and developmental stage of each child. Our rooms are specially designed for primary school children: colourful, challenging and safe, with plenty of space to play, relax and experiment. Our programme is broad and varied. After school, children can take part in creative craft projects, sports and movement activities in the gym or on the playground, and nature and discovery assignments in the surrounding area. During school holidays we organise a varied holiday programme with active, creative, sporty and educational activities, both on site and on trips in the region. Think scavenger hunts, sports clinics, technology workshops and cultural outings. Outside the holidays we also provide care on study days and other days when the school is closed. In the spring, May and autumn holidays we work together with BSO Het Octaaf on Da Capo 4 on Wednesdays and Fridays; during the summer and Christmas holidays we combine all five days at that location. This means there is always a familiar place for your child. We value parental involvement.
