BSO De Boomhut - 't Huis

BSO De Boomhut – location ’t Huis is situated on the edge of Scharn, right next to the Groene Loper. We provide small-scale after-school care for up to 62 primary-school children aged 4 to 13. Inspired by Janusz Korczak, we take children seriously and give them space to discover, undertake and push boundaries on their own. Our pedagogical staff guide children in a challenging environment where outdoor play is key: building huts, climbing trees, woodworking, splashing in puddles, gardening and cooking with fresh ingredients. Freelancers run workshops for older children so that every visit brings a new challenge. We work closely with BS Scharn, KKC de Loper and de Bundeling (from age 8). Our drivers collect children in our own minibuses and bring them safely to ’t Huis. Every afternoon starts together at the table with a sandwich and a cup of tea; afterwards each child chooses whether to join an activity, play outside or relax with a book. Each year we organise the popular BSO camp, Halloween and the Summer Festival, making every season at De Boomhut an unforgettable experience for children and parents alike.
