BSO De Boomhut

Welcome to BSO De Boomhut at Molenweg 4 in Maastricht! We are a small-scale after-school care facility for children aged 4 to 12, open after school hours and during holidays. Our philosophy is based on Janusz Korczak's belief: "Children can already do so much themselves, and we must take them seriously!" At our location, children have all the space they need to discover and push boundaries in a challenging environment. Outdoor play is central to our approach: building huts, climbing trees, woodworking, splashing in puddles, gardening, and caring for animals in our small petting zoo. We believe children achieve their best when they take initiative themselves. Our Molenweg location partners with primary schools Amby, Vrije school, and Montessori. We pick up children from school and bring them to our facility where they can play, do crafts, and participate in sports and games. Older children can join various workshops provided by freelancers, ensuring they remain challenged. We organize annual recurring events such as the popular BSO camp, Halloween, and Summer Festival. This makes BSO De Boomhut a complete and unforgettable experience for both children and parents. With permanent HBO leadership and a child-to-staff ratio of 1 to 8, we provide personal attention in a familiar environment.
