BSO de Boomhut

BSO de Boomhut is a small-scale after-school care facility located at Heirweg 2C in Velsen-Noord. We provide care for up to 22 school-going children aged 4 to 12 years, every weekday after school until 18:30. Our location is integrated within the same building as primary school De Plataan, allowing children to remain in their familiar environment after school hours. Our educational approach is inspired by Janusz Korczak's philosophy that "children are already great", meaning we take children seriously in their capabilities and provide them space to discover and undertake activities independently. Our challenging outdoor environment emphasizes outdoor play: building huts, climbing trees, woodworking, splashing in water, gardening, and much more. Older children regularly participate in workshops provided by freelancers, ensuring each day presents new challenges. We operate with one vertical base group for children aged 4 to 13 years, prioritizing personal attention and a homely atmosphere. Annual recurring events such as BSO camp, Halloween, and Winter and Summer festivals make BSO de Boomhut a complete and unforgettable experience for both children and parents.
