BSO de Bolster Balk

Welcome to BSO de Bolster Balk, the after-school care facility of Stichting Nije Gaast located at Wikelerdyk 14 in the heart of Balk. We provide a safe and stimulating place for children aged 4 to 12 to unwind after school or burn off extra energy. Our pedagogical staff work from one clear vision: offering children a rich school day where relaxation, meeting others and discovery are central. Every afternoon starts with free play. Children choose whether they want some quiet time, hang out with a friend or join one of the workshops we offer—think sports, arts, music and culture. We swim regularly, take trips into nature and let children explore all kinds of materials and techniques during creative craft activities. Our spacious garden and playground invite climbing, outdoor play and romping around. Structure and routine are important, but there is always room for personal initiative. We work with fixed core groups so children get to know each other well and feel safe. During holidays we team up with BSO Warns and run joint holiday care at our location in Balk. Parents can use our pick-up and drop-off service to and from the connected primary schools. BSO de Bolster Balk is housed in the same building as primary school De Bolster. Our close cooperation with the school ensures a smooth transition from school to after-school care. We speak Dutch only and maintain open communication with parents. In short: a great place where your child can be themselves, together with friends, under the guidance of dedicated pedagogical staff.
