BSO Dalton Jan Ligthart

BSO Dalton Jan Ligthart is part of Dalton Kindcentrum Jan Ligthart, the only Dalton centre in Zutphen and its surroundings. Located at Leeuwerikstraat 1 in Zutphen, our after-school care is on the same premises as the primary school, ensuring a seamless transition from classroom to childcare. We welcome up to 33 children aged 4 to 13 for both before- and after-school care. Our programme is built on the core values of Dalton education: independence, cooperation, responsibility and effectiveness. Children choose their own activities within clear boundaries, learn to plan and reflect, and work together on projects. This approach gives every child the space to discover and develop their talents. Our spacious, green outdoor area invites exploration and movement. Daily activities include sports and games, arts and crafts, cooking, music and nature experiences. Our pedagogical staff tailor the offer to the children’s interests while providing a safe, familiar environment where fun and challenge go hand in hand. Parents do not need to worry about pick-up and drop-off: the BSO is on the same site as the primary school, so children can come straight to us after lessons. We work closely with the teachers of Dalton Kindcentrum Jan Ligthart to keep the line between school and care as smooth as possible. BSO Dalton Jan Ligthart operates under Stichting Archipel, an organisation that has combined childcare and education in Zutphen and the surrounding area for more than 100 years. Together we are committed to a continuous development path from 0 to 13 years, giving every child the chance to become the best version of themselves.
