BSO Kesteren

BSO Kesteren is an after-school care facility located inside primary school Het Kompas in Kesteren. We welcome children aged 4 to 12, even if they attend a different school. Our BSO has its own group room with themed play corners that match the children’s interests and developmental stages. We also use the school’s gym and playground, which are surrounded by plenty of greenery. This natural outdoor space offers variety and challenges, allowing children to play intensively, climb or cycle. Our qualified pedagogical staff collect the younger children from school; older children are allowed to walk to the BSO on their own. After arrival we start calmly with a friendly chat and free play. Next, we enjoy fruit and whole-wheat crackers with healthy toppings together. This is a pleasant moment to hear how the children are doing. We then choose an activity, which can still be adapted to the children’s wishes. There is always room for them to decide how to spend their free time. In between, we drink water and tea with a healthy snack. Finally, there is plenty of opportunity to play in the garden or indoors until parents come to collect their children. During school weeks we are open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 14:30 to 18:30, and on Wednesday from 12:15 to 18:30. During holiday weeks we are open from 07:00 to 18:30. RivaKids is open all year round, except for official public holidays and the annual staff training day. We work from the core values personal, connected and outdoors.
