BSO Buiten Zijn!

Welcome to BSO Buiten Zijn! Our green out-of-school care is located in the middle of Weusthag park in Hengelo, at Uitslagsweg 191. We are the place where children go outside every single day. Experiencing, Playing and Discovering are central to us – in every season and in every type of weather. Being outdoors makes children happy! After a day at school every child loves being outside. Rain or shine (you can dress for it) everything happens outdoors. The Weusthag forest, right next to our site, is a true place of discovery. Here we lay branches across ditches, build dams and huts, craft arrows and bows with a pocket knife, and set off on jungle treks along secret paths. At the Erve Weusthag petting farm, right next door, children meet goats and pot-bellied pigs. In our own vegetable garden children learn everything from sowing to harvesting. We explore creepy-crawlies, different trees and experience every season: muddy fun in autumn, skating and sledging in winter, blossoms and frogspawn in spring, sandcastles and swimming fun in summer. During holidays we organise extra trips – from Pelle’s Ice & Chocolate to Het Hulsbeek recreation park. We pick up children from schools in Hengelo and the surrounding area; the exact schools are listed in our practical information. Our pedagogical staff guide the children safely while they learn to play independently, cooperate and be creative.
