BSO Bubbels

BSO Bubbels is located inside primary school De Olijfboom at Bongerdstraat 2 in Almere. We provide small-scale, homely after-school care for up to 20 children aged 4 to 12. Our vertical group is seen as a strength: children learn from and with each other, help one another and naturally grow in responsibility. We follow the Thomas Gordon method. This means we actively listen to every child and address behaviour without judging the child as a person. In this way we create an atmosphere in which children feel accepted for who they are. Free time is real free time; children decide for themselves how they want to spend their afternoon. Our rooms and outdoor area are set up so that every child can find something to do. We offer activities such as crafts and sports, but participation is always voluntary. Resting, chilling in the chill corner or taking a moment for yourself in the quiet room are equally possible. We love being outside; we have a large playground and regularly use the sports fields of nearby FC ODA. In short: BSO Bubbels is a safe, secure place where children feel at home and where they can choose how to spend their free time.
