Welcome to BSO Berend Botje Edam-Volendam, located at Keetzijde 20 in Edam. We are an after-school care facility (BSO) that is part of the professional childcare organization Kinderdagverblijf Berend Botje Edam – Volendam B.V. Since May 19, 2025, we have been officially registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) under number 319912103, ensuring we meet all legal quality requirements for after-school care. Our location accommodates up to 36 children aged 4 to 13 years. We welcome children from various primary schools in the Edam-Volendam region and provide them with a safe, enjoyable, and stimulating environment after school hours. Our team of pedagogical staff is dedicated to giving your child an unforgettable time with activities tailored to their interests and development. In 2023 and 2024, we thoroughly modernized and made our location more sustainable. The building at Keetzijde underwent complete maintenance, focusing on sustainability and the living comfort of children and staff. We renewed the roof, applied sun-reflective film, replaced the wooden exterior walls for better insulation, and upgraded all fluorescent lighting to energy-efficient LED lighting. Solar panels will be installed soon. These improvements not only reduce our energy costs but also create a fresh and inviting environment where children feel at home. During the renovation, we temporarily used a space at Don Bosco College in Volendam to ensure the work could be carried out safely. Now that everything is complete, we are proud of the result: a sustainable, comfortable, and child-friendly location where your child will love to come.
