BSO ART

BSO ART is a small-scale after-school care centre on the ground floor of Saffana’s Kindercentrum at Ermelopad 1 in Almere Stad. We provide care for up to 11 primary school children aged 4 to 12. Our team collects the children from various primary schools in the area after school and brings them safely to our homely location. Creative development is central at BSO ART. Every day we work with the children on arts and crafts projects, where they are free to experiment with different materials and techniques. Our spacious, bright group room is furnished with wooden furniture and offers plenty of space for both quiet work and active play. In addition, we have a large, green outdoor area with a vegetable garden and wooden play equipment where children can romp, garden or simply relax. We alternate structure and tranquillity with room for own initiative. We always start the afternoon with a joint moment: chatting about the school day and then enjoying a healthy meal. We serve a warm, fresh meal prepared in our own kitchen, taking any dietary requirements into account. Afterwards, children can choose from various activities: from painting and sculpting to playing outside or quietly reading in our reading corner. Our permanent team of pedagogical staff know each child well and tailor activities to interest and developmental level. BSO ART is part of Saffana’s Kindercentrum, a reliable organisation with several locations in Almere and Amsterdam. Our LRK number is 253444160. We work according to Saffana’s pedagogical policy, in which attention, safety and fun are central. Parents are always welcome to come and have a look or join in activities. Together we ensure that children feel at home at BSO ART after school.
