BSO Aquaport de Dijk

Aquaport-BSO de Dijk is located in the green and water-rich Quelderduijn area of Den Helder. This after-school care facility is specifically designed for children aged 7 and older, offering challenging and educational activities aligned with the unique Aquaport concept. With a maximum capacity of 32 children, we create an intimate environment where every child has space to grow and discover. Our pedagogical professionals organize activities directly connected to Aquaport's core themes: sustainability, nature, technology, and nutrition. Children, for example, cook soup over a campfire using ingredients from our own garden while discovering how much water is needed for a recipe. These practical, hands-on experiences make abstract concepts tangible and understandable. The Quelderduijn location provides the perfect setting for outdoor learning. We use the natural environment as our classroom, where children playfully engage with complex topics. This seamlessly aligns with our vision that learning need not be confined to school desks but truly comes alive in practice. As part of Monter Kinderopvang, we contribute to their mission of creating optimal opportunities for children in the North Holland Head region. We believe that today's child is tomorrow's adult, and we prepare them for that future by already making them aware of sustainability and their environment.
