BSO Bron Blinker

Welcome to BSO Bron Blinker, our welcoming after-school care facility located at De Blink 5 in Bolsward. We are part of Stichting Kinderopvang Friesland and share the modern school building with primary school De Blinker. This unique collaboration means we can pick up the children directly from their familiar classroom after school and bring them to our dedicated BSO spaces. Our location accommodates up to 36 children aged 4 to 12 years. We operate with two BSO groups, each having their own space within the school building. Children have access to all facilities the school building offers, including playrooms, the central hall, and the extensive school playground. We have direct connections with nearby primary schools, allowing us to safely pick up children. We do this on foot, using the 'ringenslinger' (holding hands in a line) for younger children, or with our own buses and cars from Kinderopvang Friesland. Our pedagogical staff are ready every day to give the children a wonderful afternoon. We offer a varied activity program, utilizing the top arrangement from Kinderopvang Friesland. During holidays, we organize different activities every day. We regularly make excursions to the elderly care home next to the school, where children can play and gain intergenerational experiences. At our location, we speak Dutch with the children, but on an individual level, we can also speak Frisian. This aligns with the bilingual environment of Friesland. Our staff are well-trained and work according to the pedagogical policy of Kinderopvang Friesland, closely following and supporting each child's development as needed. BSO Bron Blinker is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We work closely with primary schools De Bron (De Blink 1), De Blinker (De Blink 5), De Opbouw (Burgemeester Praamsmalaan 34), and Basisschool Sint Maarten (Plein 1455-1). This collaboration ensures a smooth transition from school to BSO and back.
