BSO Boven-Leeuwen

Welcome to BSO Boven-Leeuwen, the after-school care centre for children aged 4 to 12 in the heart of Boven-Leeuwen. Located right next to Basisschool Maria at Pastoor Schoenmakerstraat 5, the walk from classroom to after-school care is only a few steps. Since 2010, under the umbrella of KION Kinderopvang B.V., we have offered up to twenty school-age children a familiar place where relaxation, play and development go hand in hand. Our pedagogical approach is rooted in KION’s quality framework, yet given a playful, local twist. We work in themes – from Sinterklaas and Christmas to carnival – always leaving room for children’s and parents’ own ideas. The adjacent gym is our second living room; here children can run, climb and romp barefoot or in gym shoes under the guidance of our qualified pedagogical staff. Together with Basisschool Maria we make clear agreements about the use of the school playground, so outdoor play remains safe and familiar. Parents are not spectators, but partners. During the intake interview we invite you to join our parent committee and to help with activities – whether decorating the room or assisting in a creative workshop. Occasionally we collaborate with external organisations such as Vraagwijzer, always after explicit parental consent. Student trainees also spend time with us, bringing fresh ideas and extra helping hands. In short, BSO Boven-Leeuwen is a homely, safe place where schoolchildren can unwind, meet friends and gain new experiences – close to home and in close cooperation with the school.
