Bos-BSO Berezoon

We are Bos-BSO Berezoon, the forest after-school care of Tilburg and Oisterwijk for children from primary schools De Elzen, De Tiliander, Panta Rhei, De Stappen and De Nieuwe Linde. Our location at Generaal de Wetstraat 68 in Tilburg is the starting point of every after-school adventure. We are an independent BSO that goes out daily to the most beautiful spots in nature: the forest, the heath and the dunes. At Berezoon we work with two age groups. Children aged 4 to 7 are with the Pimpels, children aged 8 to 12 belong to the Krakers. Each group of maximum 10 children has their own permanent supervisor. With our Berezoon buses and group bicycles we travel safely to adventurous places where we spot rare beetles, make campfires with homemade applesauce, build huts and get completely dirty during exciting discoveries. Our pedagogical approach is fully focused on nature experience and adventurous learning. Children develop self-confidence by learning to climb independently, make fire and work together on creative building projects. We teach children to deal with risks, respect nature and come up with creative solutions. Each season offers new play opportunities: in spring we forage and study everything that grows and blooms, in summer we search for water creatures and swim in natural waters, in autumn we build huts and search for mushrooms, and in winter we make fires to bake bread rolls and sled down hills. Our indoor space at Generaal de Wetstraat 68 offers various rooms with tables and benches for crafts, circle games and a kitchen to cook together. We provide care after school, during study days and in the holidays. Weekly we organize special excursions to the Prehistoric Village, the Herb Kingdom, Irrland and we go boating in the Biesbosch. Parents are regularly welcome in our Berezoon-foraging-restaurant in our own forest.
