Bockxmeer

BSO Bockxmeer is located in IKEC primary school at Tweeboomlaan 102A in Hoorn-Noord and provides after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. Because the after-school facility is right next to Bernardus van Bockxmeer primary school, children only have to walk a few steps from their classroom into a familiar, homely environment. Our large, cosy indoor space is designed entirely around the needs of school-age children. There is plenty of room to play, relax, do crafts or quietly work on homework. Outdoors, the children use the playgrounds of both IKEC and Bernardus van Bockxmeer; both yards offer plenty of challenges and play opportunities. We also regularly walk to one of the neighbourhood playgrounds so that the children can recharge with fresh air every day. Bockxmeer offers before-school care from 07:00 and after-school care until 18:30. During all school holidays we are open all day, giving parents a familiar place to rely on during vacation periods as well. We work according to the principles of the Peaceful After-School Care: children have a say in the activity programme and learn to interact with each other in a positive way. Our pedagogical staff are ready to provide a safe, challenging and, above all, fun time every day. Bockxmeer is part of Stichting Kinderopvang West-Friesland, an organisation that has been providing childcare in Hoorn and the surrounding area for more than forty years.
