BSO Boartershiem

Welcome to BSO Boartershiem, located at Leppedyk 5B in Akkrum. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 in a warm, safe and homely environment. After school, children are welcome to play, relax and discover new things. Our after-school room is divided into two spaces. In the large room, children of all ages come together. Here you will find various play corners such as a doll corner, a construction corner with life-size LEGO bricks and Haagse blocks, a home corner and a shop. There are also flexible corners where children can do crafts, puzzles, play with cars and dinosaurs or dress up. In the smaller room there is a large table, a foosball table and a mirror wall where children can dance. Our enclosed backyard offers plenty of room to move. There is a pirate ship, an outdoor kitchen, a large sandbox, football goals and a trampoline. In the shed, outdoor toys such as scooters, go-karts, sandbox materials and diggers are ready for use. We also regularly visit the playgrounds in Akkrum and Nes, and use the sports fields around Leppehiem for football, badminton and other physical activities. For children aged 8 and older, we offer a special programme. They are invited to take part in activities such as setting up scavenger hunts, QR code quests, drone flying, making stop-motion films, dissecting owl pellets and conducting science experiments. There is also a separate room exclusively for them, with toys that match their world of experience. We believe in bringing young and old together. Our children regularly interact with the grandpas and grandmas of Leppehiem. Together we organise activities such as walks, baking cookies, workshops and celebrations. Every year we host a sleepover in October and a big BSO outing during study days. Together we create unforgettable memories.
