Club Basker - Jan Steenlaan

BLOS Jan Steenlaan is our after-school care centre right in the centre of Baarn. We are located in a unique spot: inside the playground of the local play association. This means that after school our children can immediately climb, scramble, play football or simply romp around in a safe, green environment. We provide care for up to 14 primary-school children aged 4 to 12. The group is organised horizontally, so activities are perfectly tailored to the children’s age and development. After school we start with a shared moment: time to relax with a drink and a snack, then the children choose what they want to do. We make extensive use of the outdoor space: there is plenty of room for sports and games, nature and forest assignments, and creative projects. During school holidays we organise extra excursions and workshops, so no two days are ever the same. Our pedagogical staff are ready to give the children a pleasant, challenging afternoon. We work according to the vision of BLOS childcare: children are given the space to be themselves, discover what they are good at, and learn to play and interact with others.
