Our after-school care Thomas a Kempislaan is set on a hill at the edge of Park Klarenbeek, surrounded by trees and reached by a quiet dead-end path. This unique spot gives children the space to unwind after school or to run, climb and play in nature. We have 68 regular places for children aged 4 to 12 and make full use of the green playgrounds and sunny terraces around our modern building. Every afternoon starts with a moment of coming home. Children receive a healthy snack and can choose: reading in the quiet corner, building with LEGO or heading straight outside to play football on our sports field. We work with themes that match the children’s world, such as ‘Discover Nature’, ‘Inventors Wanted’ or ‘Journey Around the World’. During these themes we combine creative crafts with outdoor exploration and sporty challenges. Our pedagogical staff are ready to guide children with homework and provide quiet areas for concentration. In addition, we organise weekly sports and games activities where cooperation and fun come first. For the older children there is a chill room with table tennis and their own kitchen to cook together. We pick up and drop off children from various primary schools in the area, so parents can work without worry. Our after-school care is open on all school-free days and during holidays, with a varied holiday programme full of creative workshops, sports days and nature excursions in Park Klarenbeek.
