Bixo Apeldoorn Prinses Juliana (BSO)

At Bixo Apeldoorn Prinses Juliana we provide after-school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 13. Our location is on the ground floor of primary school Prinses Juliana at Tullekensmolenweg 77 in Lieren. We work closely with the school, so our opening hours follow the school timetable, holidays and study days and we are open all year round. We regard the time after school as real free time. Children decide for themselves what they want to do: play outside, quietly read a book or join the organised activity of the day. Every afternoon we offer a challenging activity under the themes Sports & Games, Expression, Cooking & Baking, Arts & Crafts, Science & Technology and Nature. Our Bixo activity boxes, such as the Woodworking box, soapstone box or soap box, also appear regularly. During the holidays we add an extra festive layer with a special theme, for example ‘BixZoo in the Jungle’, ‘Stars & Planets’ or ‘Winter Wonderland’. We are also the trusted place for before-school care (VSO). Before school starts, relaxation, calm and cosiness are central: having a cup of tea together, playing a game or waking up gently. Our pedagogical staff member personally walks the children to their classroom as soon as school begins. We work on a small scale: a maximum of 22 children per group. This allows us to truly know every child and create a homely atmosphere. Our experienced pedagogical professionals are ready every day to give children that safe second home. Communication with parents is important to us; our location manager Veerle Sterk is always available for questions or a personal conversation.
