BSO Leeuwarden Bernestate

BSO Bernestate provides after-school care for children aged 4–12 in Leeuwarden. We pick the children up every school day from primary schools in the Camminghaburen district and surrounding areas. Our location at Kalverdijkje 77d, on the edge of the neighbourhood, has its own outdoor playground and sports field. Sports and physical activity are central to our programme. Each week we run a sports session in which children develop their motor skills through play. Quiet corners are available for homework support and creative activities. We operate bilingually: our qualified pedagogical staff speak both Dutch and Frisian, so every child feels at home. Our groups are small-scale, with room for a maximum of 38 children. This keeps the atmosphere homely and allows us to give each child the attention they deserve. Children have the freedom to make their own choices, form friendships and discover new interests in a safe and familiar environment.
