BSO Berenhuis, Sport & Zo

BSO Sport & Zo is part of the Stichting Kinderopvang Berenhuis and is located at Sportpark “De Brand”, Groenstraat 12 in Berlicum. We provide out-of-school care for children aged 4 to 12, both after school and during school holidays. Our doors are open every school day from 7:30 a.m. for before-school care and until 6:30 p.m. for after-school care. During school vacations we run an extensive holiday programme. Movement and sporty discovery are at the heart of what we do. We collaborate with local sports clubs and professionals to offer sports clinics, creative workshops and nature & animal activities. Examples include survival climbing on a real wall, a visit to the observatory, a birds-of-prey show or working out in a local gym. Children help shape the programme through our children’s council; twice a year they meet with the pedagogical staff and the director to discuss what matters to them. Our pedagogical professionals pick the children up after school from the connected primary schools and bring them to the BSO. We provide healthy snacks and drinks and offer a safe, challenging environment in which every child can develop. During holidays there is extra room for themed weeks such as “Animal Week” or “Sports Week”, including excursions to places like Werkboerderij Buiten Gewoon or a gym in Berlicum. In short, at BSO Sport & Zo children enjoy a sporty, creative and adventurous time after school and during holidays, where fun and personal development go hand in hand.
