BSO Berenhuis, De Dukaten, Kindcentrum De Schatkist

Welcome to BSO De Dukaten, part of Kindcentrum De Schatkist at Schoolstraat 1 in the centre of Berlicum. We provide out-of-school care for children aged 4 to 12 who attend De Parel primary school or another nearby school. Located inside the Kindcentrum, we work closely with the school, offering a seamless development line for your child from 7.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Our qualified pedagogical staff welcome children every school day for before-school care from 7.30 – 8.30 a.m. and after-school care from the end of lessons until 6.30 p.m. We are also open during all school holidays. A fixed team knows every child personally and, together with them, designs activities that match their interests. A children’s council meets regularly with staff and management to share ideas, giving children real input into their time at the BSO. Our programme is packed with sports, cultural and creative activities. We collaborate with professional partners who run dance, theatre and art workshops. Twice a year we organise the Berenhuis Art Studio: a three-week series in which children work with a real artist. We also go on excursions, such as visits to Werkboerderij Buiten Gewoon, and arrange themed days like ‘playing CSI’. During holidays we offer an extra festive and varied programme so every child feels challenged and at home. BSO De Dukaten has room for 40 children in a homely, safe environment. We have our own outdoor playground and also use the facilities of Kindcentrum De Schatkist, including a gym and creative corners.
