BSO Berend Botje Stadsspeeltuin De Speelhoorn is uniquely situated right inside the public playground of the same name at Holenweg 14H in Hoorn, directly behind swimming pool De Waterhoorn. We provide after-school care for up to 22 children aged 4 to 13. The location has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 April 2015 under number 106137955. Our qualified pedagogical staff collect the children from school and bring them to the BSO. Here the children can let off steam on the many playground facilities: climbing frames, swings, slides and plenty of space to run and romp. The natural surroundings encourage outdoor play and discovery; we gratefully make use of the green facilities and the spacious playground. There is always ample room for sports and movement activities, as well as quiet corners where children can do crafts or play games together. At Berend Botje we work from a clear pedagogical policy that matches the developmental stage of school-age children. We offer structure and safety, but also room for personal initiative. The groups are small and manageable, so that every child receives the attention they deserve. We tailor our activities to the children’s interests and actively involve them in planning outings and themes. We value contact with parents: we keep you regularly informed about how the day went and are open to your wishes and ideas.
