BSO Beestenbende

BSO de Beestenbende is located at children's farm De Heuvel in Culemborg, at Weithusen 63. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 years in a unique setting where nature and animals are central. Our location is part of Dichtbij kinderopvang, an organization with over 30 after-school care locations in the region. At our BSO, children can fully enjoy the outdoors. We have our own space on the grounds of the children's farm, with access to a large outdoor play area, a barn, and even a greenhouse where children can grow their own vegetables. What makes our BSO special is the direct connection with animals. Children are allowed to cuddle the rabbits, pet the horse, and help feed all the animals. On Mondays, the children's farm is closed to the public but open for our BSO children, creating an extra special experience. Our pedagogical staff guide the children in interacting with the animals and make clear agreements about hygiene and behavior. We pick up children from various primary schools in Culemborg and ensure they arrive safely with us. At BSO de Beestenbende, free play, discovery, and being outdoors are central. Children can choose quiet activities or participate in active outdoor games. We provide a safe environment where children can develop at their own pace, with respect for each other and the animals around them.
