BSO De IJsselster

BSO De IJsselster has been part of the De IJsselster child centre at Groenendael 227 in IJsselmuiden since April 5, 2023. After an internal renovation, our after-school care room is fully connected to the primary school, allowing children aged 4 to 13 to stay in one familiar environment after school hours. Everything we do revolves around fun and relaxation. Each day we offer varied activities tailored to different ages and interests. Children choose for themselves whether to participate – nothing is mandatory and much is allowed! Of course we have basic rules and teach mutual respect. Our pedagogical staff guide children in making choices and developing social skills. After a long school day, there's plenty of space to play outside. Our green playgrounds offer enough challenges to burn off energy and get some fresh air. For children who prefer to relax quietly, there are indoor opportunities to read a book, play games or do crafts. We believe it's important that every child can be themselves and feel safe to discover what they enjoy. The direct connection between primary education and after-school care ensures a smooth transition. We work on a continuous development line and support children in learning to deal with different situations, solving problems and celebrating beautiful moments together. With a maximum capacity of 30 children, we can continue to provide personal attention to every child who comes to our after-school care.
