De Boomgaard

De Boomgaard is a welcoming after-school care facility located in the Woenderskamp neighborhood of Lent, designed for children aged 4 to 12. Located on the ground floor of the De Boomgaard primary school building on Titiaanstraat 100, children can walk straight from their classroom to our cozy space after school. The interior feels like a living room, with distinct corners: a chill-out area with books and music, a creative zone with art supplies, a construction corner with LEGO, and a doll corner for imaginative play. Our trained pedagogical staff offer a diverse range of activities tailored to the children’s interests. These include music and dance workshops, creative projects, cooking sessions in our children’s kitchen, and sports activities in the gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We regularly organize excursions to places like the Amsterdamse Bos, museums, or TunFun play paradise. During school holidays, we run an extended holiday program with themed weeks and special workshops. We prioritize creating a safe and nurturing environment where every child feels seen and valued. Each group of 10–12 children is assigned a dedicated mentor who provides individual attention and support. We encourage independence and initiative: children can choose whether to join activities or enjoy free play. We also teach them to respect one another and collaborate as a group. Parents benefit from flexible care days and swap options. We maintain close communication with parents through a parent committee and annual parent meetings.
