BSO Wytgaard

BSO Wytgaard is located at Tjissema 8 in the centre of Wytgaard. We are a small-scale after-school care facility with room for up to 7 children aged 4 to 12. Since 1 January 2010 we have been registered in the National Childcare Register under number 192496098. Our building is right next to primary school IKC Roorda, so the transition from school to after-school care is smooth and safe. Children can come straight to us after school for a cosy and secure afternoon. We have access to a spacious garden and the adjoining green schoolyard, offering plenty of space to play outside, practise sports and explore nature. A consistent team of qualified pedagogical staff know every child personally and provide individual guidance. The programme includes activities that match the children’s interests: from gardening and print-making crafts to inline-skating and nature walks with our outdoor coach Bert. All activities are low-threshold and always optional; children decide for themselves what they feel like doing that day. Our approach focuses on offering children calm, structure and familiarity. We start the afternoon with a shared moment to unwind from the school day, followed by time for play, relaxation and challenge. We believe it is important that children feel safe and valued so that they can develop to their full potential. BSO Wytgaard is part of Stichting Kinderopvang Friesland. This allows us to draw on the knowledge and support of a larger organisation when needed, while maintaining small-scale, personal attention on site. Parents experience this as the ideal combination of professionalism and security.
