Welcome to BSO Avonturijn at Verwoldseweg 12b in Laren! We provide out-of-school care for children aged 4 to 12, offering before-school, after-school and holiday care on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Our building is located right next to De Branink and Prins Willem Alexander primary schools, so we can safely walk or cycle the children to and from school—sometimes with our cargo bike, BSO minibus or car—at no extra cost to parents. BSO Avonturijn Laren is organised into three horizontal groups: Landhuis, Koetshuis and Boshuis. Each group has its own atmosphere, but everywhere the motto is: be outside, get dirty and explore. Our large, green schoolyard—complete with climbing frames, a football pitch, sandpit and table-tennis table—is our outdoor classroom. Indoors you will find Kapla blocks, an arts-and-crafts corner with easels and materials, a kitchen for joint cooking or baking sessions, games, books and much more. This variety lets every child choose what they need that day: join an activity, quietly read a book or simply relax with friends. After school we start with fruit and a drink while we discuss the afternoon’s activities. Our programme is varied and often themed: sports and games, nature and forest activities, cooking, crafts and creative projects. During school holidays we turn it up a notch with special themed weeks and exciting excursions. Our team of enthusiastic, qualified pedagogical staff looks forward every day to discovering new things together with the children.
