2Dolfijnen

BSO 2Dolfijnen is a small-scale after-school care facility located in the same building as the Ds. W.E. Den Hertog School at Luxemburgstraat 7 in Loosduinen, The Hague. We provide care for up to 60 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our location makes optimal use of the school's facilities: the large playground, gymnasium, and play and learning room. For the younger after-school children, we have set up various play corners where they can explore, build, and read. Older children are given more space to independently undertake activities and make their own choices. At 2Dolfijnen, fun and freedom of choice are central. We offer a varied activity program where children can choose whether to do homework, play outside, or engage in creative activities. With younger children, we look together at which activities they want to undertake per theme. Free play and free choice are important principles in our approach. During school holidays, we organize special activities and excursions to places like the forest, museum, or theater. Children actively participate in thinking about these holiday programs. We collaborate with BSO 2Bevers to offer an even broader range of activities. Our pedagogical staff are ready to make every child feel seen. We work with permanent staff who know the children well and provide a familiar environment. In addition to after-school care, we also provide before-school care on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 07:15 to 08:30 (not on Wednesdays). Children are brought to class by our pedagogical staff. For all our activities, we use the 2Samen KICKS program. This offers children (half) days full of fun and educational games, workshops, and experiences without extra costs. We strive to create a development-oriented environment where children can relax after school while simultaneously discovering and learning new things.
