2Rendieren

2Rendieren is an after-school care facility run by 2Samen, located in the clubhouse of the KVS korfball association at Cremerweg 2 in The Hague. We are situated right next to the beautiful Westbroekpark and close to Madurodam, surrounded by green space and large sports fields. The site has two after-school groups and is intended for children from 8 years old. Our space offers endless opportunities to explore, create and, above all, spend time outdoors. We use the adjacent sports field for sports and games, while the woods and beach are also just a stone’s throw away. Together with the children, we draw up a new activity schedule every season. They are encouraged to think up, organise and carry out activities themselves, ensuring all areas of development are covered and teaching them to take responsibility. Through 2Samen KICKS we provide days full of fun and educational games, workshops and holiday programmes—think survival days, camp days, graffiti spraying, Lego building, tree climbing or theatre lessons. All of this is included in the care; there are no extra costs. We collect the children from the Willem de Zwijgerschool and walk together to our clubhouse. On arrival, everyone enjoys a healthy snack of fresh fruit, vegetables, crackers or bread. The children then decide for themselves whether to relax with a book, play outside, do crafts or join the planned activity. Our pedagogical staff work from 2Samen’s Pedagogical House, which means every child is truly seen and their individual needs are met. We place great importance on child participation: children actively help shape our programme, learning to make choices and plan.
