Boschveld

Welcome to Kindcentrum Boschveld, located at Zernikestraat 2 in ’s-Hertogenbosch. Our daycare is part of Kanteel and provides care for children aged 0 to 4. We work with horizontal core groups, where children of similar age come together. This creates a calm, familiar and safe environment for both child and parent. At our centre, learning through play is key. We offer a rich play and learning environment where children can explore, choose and experience on their own. Our group rooms are set up with themed corners such as a home corner with real pots and pans, a construction corner and a reading nook. We use open shelves at child height so children can independently access materials and let their imagination run free. We stimulate creative development through arts and crafts with paint, clay and natural materials. We sing together, dance and make music. Language development is also a key focus: we read aloud, name what we see and hear, and encourage children to tell their own stories. For the youngest ones, we offer quiet corners and safe spots to rest after a discovery journey. Our outdoor area is green and challenging. Children can climb on tree trunks, balance on tyres and play on the barefoot path. We deliberately provide materials that invite movement and imaginative play. In bad weather we stay indoors, but when dry we go outside every day. We follow a clear daily rhythm, where structure and flexibility go hand in hand. There is time for rest, but also for activities like cooking, singing or playing games together. For babies we follow the home rhythm as much as possible. We provide bottle feeding and nappy changes. Special dietary needs can be discussed and accommodated where possible. Pre-school education (VVE) is an important part of our programme. We use the ‘Leerlijnen 0-4’ programme to track each child’s development and offer targeted support. During 10-minute talks we discuss progress with parents and tailor our guidance to the child’s needs. Our pedagogical staff are professional, caring and ready for every child. We believe it’s important that children feel safe and seen. That’s why we work with familiar faces in each core group and offer a warm, homely atmosphere.
