Boerderij de Boterbloem, de Bezige Bijtjes

Welcome to daycare De Bezige Bijtjes, part of Boerderij de Boterbloem located at Karel Doormanweg 58 in Tollebeek. We provide care for up to 42 children aged 0 to 4 years in a vertical group setting, where children of different ages play and learn together. Each group consists of a maximum of 10 children, guided by two consistent caregivers. Our focus is on creating a safe and homely atmosphere. Children are given the space to develop at their own pace. We work with familiar themes such as Christmas, Easter, Sinterklaas, the seasons, and introduce new themes each year that match the children's world of experience. We believe that children can only truly flourish when they feel safe and secure. Our location is situated on a farm, which means children are in daily contact with animals and nature. We work together in the vegetable garden, take care of chickens, turkeys, a pony, cow, sheep, and donkey, and make use of the spacious outdoor area with a playground, go-kart track, and grass field. There is plenty of room for free play, crafts, cooking, and games. Even in bad weather, there is plenty to do in our spacious animal shelter. We value good communication with parents. Every day we discuss how your child is doing and what they have experienced. This keeps the lines of communication short and allows us to bring out the best in your child together.
